Pacific History Association Conference 2018

3rd – 5th December 2018

Programme

We recommend that delegates staying in London on the night of December 2nd, leave their luggage at their hotel and collect it on their way to the bus or train up to Cambridge. There will be limited cloakroom availability at the Royal Academy. Left luggage facilities can also be found at most major rail stations, and London King’s Cross is the nearest major rail station to the coach departure point.

Location

The conference will start in the afternoon of the 3rd of December 2018 at the Royal Academy of Arts in London and delegates will be given the opportunity to visit the exhibition Oceania. 

The conference will then continue at Robinson College, University of Cambridge from the 4th to the 5th of December 2018.

Transport will be provided for delegates to travel from London to Cambridge on the 3rd.

Accommodation in London

The conference organisers can recommend the following hotels in London which provide easy access to the Royal Academy, either on foot or by tube. Please note that when booking accommodation in London, coach transfer to Cambridge on the evening of December 3rd will be leaving from Tavistock Square. We recommend booking somewhere in the vicinity of the coach departure point.

We recommend all delegates purchase either daily travel cards, or oyster cards when travelling within London to save costs on transport. Both options can be used on all trains, tubes and buses within zones 1-6.
